PROSECUTING AND DEFENDING SEXUAL OFFENCES TIPS AND TACTICS FOR THE PROFESSION – CPD: 20 minutes EDI; 70 minutes Professionalism; 150 minutes Substantive

  • 21 Jan 2023
  • 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • 315 Front Street, Toronto – in person (and by webcast)

Registration

Saturday, January 21, 2023, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 315 Front Street, Toronto – in person (and by webcast). Continental Breakfast will be served.

Sexual offence cases are one of the most difficult to prosecute and defend not only because of the subject matter, but because they are becoming increasingly complex given recent amendments to the Criminal Code and emerging jurisprudence. Come hear from an expert faculty of judges, Crowns and defence lawyers who will debate these issues in a relaxed and inclusive environment. This is also an opportunity to collaboratively network with your criminal justice colleagues in person and out of court.

Daniel Brown and Jill Witkin invite you to attend the 2023 JOINT MAG-CLA CONFERENCE ON PROSECUTING AND DEFENDING SEXUAL OFFENCE CASES

Attendance is free.

CPD Confirmed:

  • 20 minutes of EDI
  • 70 minutes of professionalism.
  • Substantive Hours: 2 hours and 30 minutes (if hours are not needed for EDI and/or professionalism they can be added to)
