Are you stuck at home and wondering how you can become a better criminal lawyer and improve both your oral and written advocacy?

Please join us on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 5 to 6 p.m. for an exclusive opportunity to ask one of Canada’s most knowledgeable sources of criminal law and the law of evidence, The Honourable Mr. Justice M. Fish – who served on the Québec Court of Appeal from 1989 to 2003 and on the Supreme Court of Canada from 2003 to 2013 – almost anything.  

This webcast event is open to CLA members called in 2013 or after as well as student members. There are only 75 spots available, so please make sure to register early.

This event will also qualify for one hour of substantive CPD credits.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS & HOW TO SUBMIT QUESTIONS:

  • It is up to each registrant to ensure they have a strong internet connection prior to the event. Please be sure to test before 5 p.m. on the day of the event. Also check your camera and microphone settings.
  • When accessing the event, please be sure to have your microphone on mute.
  • The CLA will do its best to manage any IT issues during the webcast, but please note that individual participant computer settings and internet connection are out of our control. We will do our best to assist when possible. Should you experience any issues while the webcast is happening, please email web@criminallawyers.ca and we will do our best to assist right away.
  • Details to access the live webcast will be sent to registrants with your email confirmation. The details will be emailed to the address entered when registering for the event. Be sure to check your spam folder! If you are not able to locate the access information by 9 a.m., the day of the event, please email support@criminallawyers.ca. It is the responsibility of the registrant to make sure they have the access information.
